✅ Educational Qualification

10th Class Pass (High School / Matriculation) from any recognised Board. No higher degree required — this makes Dehradun Home Guard recruitment accessible to a large number of candidates who completed their 10th class.

✅ Gender & Domicile Requirement

Male candidates only. Most importantly, candidates must be permanent residents of Dehradun district, Uttarakhand. A valid Permanent Residence / Domicile Certificate is mandatory. Candidates from other districts or states cannot apply for this Dehradun-specific recruitment.

✅ Age

18 to 40 years as on 01 January 2026. Reserved category candidates will receive age relaxation as per Uttarakhand Government rules. Age is calculated from 01 January 2026 — not from any other date.

✅ Physical Fitness

Must meet the physical standards — Height (165cm/160cm/157.5cm depending on category), Chest measurements — and must be physically fit for Home Guard duties including running, patrolling, and security assignments.

Step 1: Application Screening

All received applications will be checked for eligibility — 10th pass, age 18-40 as on 01 January 2026, male, permanent resident of Dehradun, correct category. Incomplete or ineligible applications will be rejected at this stage itself.

Step 2: Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

All eligible shortlisted candidates will appear for Physical Measurement Test — Height, Weight, and Chest measurement (expanded and unexpanded). Candidates must meet the category-wise physical standards. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the test.

Step 3: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates who clear PMT will undergo a Physical Efficiency Test — which may include running, long jump, or other fitness exercises. Physical fitness and stamina are essential for Home Guard service. Prepare through regular running and exercise.

Step 4: Document Verification

All original documents — 10th certificate, DOB proof, Aadhaar/Voter ID, caste certificate (if applicable), character certificate, permanent residence certificate, experience certificate (if any) — must be produced in original for verification.
